The Pelicans is a non-profit Christian music group established in July 2003. Our members are of a diversified background, with University and seminary students, as well as professionals and entrepreneurs. We all originated from other parts of the world, namely Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Singapore, and it is by no coincidence that we gathered here in Toronto and were granted the opportunity to form The Pelicans. Despite our differences, we do share a common goal, and that is to serve God with music to reach out to all people, regardless of age, language, or culture.

VISION

We believe in the power of music to touch upon people's hearts. Contrary to common perceptions, Christian music is far from dull and bland. In fact, it could take on many genres - from rock to pop to jazzy to soft. We wish to serve God through the beautiful melodies and harmonies he created, to reach out to His children. For those who don't already know Him, we hope to do the introductions…and for those who do, we hope to strengthen the connection.

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy *catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

*The word "catholic" refers not to the Roman Catholic Church, but to the universal church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
